Sparkling Path ("Sparkling Path", "we", "I", or "Nadja") is a counselling and wellness practice based in Sooke, British Columbia, offering Systemic (Family) Constellations, Reiki, and counselling, in person and online. This page explains how I handle your personal information and the terms that apply to using this site and my services.

Privacy Policy

Information I collect

• Contact details you provide through the booking or contact forms (name, email, phone).
• Scheduling details when you book (date, time, time zone, session type, and anything you add in the booking notes).
• Information you share with me before or during a session, including personal, family, health, or emotional details relevant to our work together.
• Limited technical information your browser sends when visiting the site. The site does not use advertising trackers.

How I use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a free consultation or session.
• To schedule, confirm, and remind you of appointments.
• To provide my services and keep appropriate, confidential records of our work.
• To meet legal, regulatory, or professional obligations.

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for marketing.

Consent

By submitting a form, booking a session, or sharing information with me, you consent to my collecting and using it for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me, though doing so may mean I can no longer provide certain services.

Service providers

I use trusted third-party tools to run the practice, and your information may be processed by them on my behalf, including online scheduling (for example, Calendly) and calendar (Google Calendar), email and video-meeting services for online sessions, and a payment processor for paid sessions (card details are handled by the processor; I do not store them). These providers have their own privacy practices, and some may store data outside Canada.

Storage, security, and retention

I take reasonable steps to protect your information and keep session records confidential and securely stored. I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law or professional standards, after which it is securely deleted or destroyed.

Your rights

You may ask to access or correct the personal information I hold about you, or ask how it is handled, by contacting me at [contact email]. If you have a concern I cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

My services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.

Terms & Disclaimer

About my services

Systemic (Family) Constellations, Reiki, and counselling offered through Sparkling Path are supportive, complementary practices intended to support wellbeing, reflection, and personal growth. Nadja is a counsellor in training, a Systemic Constellations facilitator in training, and a Reiki practitioner (Level 1).

Not medical or emergency care

These sessions are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, psychological, or other professional treatment, and nothing on this site is medical advice or a diagnosis. They are not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, call 911, or call or text 988 (Suicide Crisis Helpline) in Canada.

Confidentiality and its limits

What you share with me is kept confidential. By law and professional practice there are limits: I may need to disclose information where there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, where a child or vulnerable person may be at risk, or where disclosure is required by law.

Bookings, cancellations, and payment

The initial 15-minute consultation is free. Session fees are as listed on the site and are due as arranged. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule so the time can be offered to someone else.

Online sessions

For online sessions, you are responsible for having a private space and a stable internet connection. While I use reasonable tools to protect privacy, no online platform can be guaranteed fully secure.

No guaranteed outcomes

Everyone's experience is different. I cannot and do not guarantee any specific result, and you take part in sessions of your own free will.

Changes and governing law

I may update this page from time to time; the current version always applies. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
